Pioneer Woman

I met PIONEER WOMAN!!!! She is in town signing a cookbook and I met her! I even got a picture with her!!!!! It was a fun experience but took forever. I dragged along my lovely L, since her Daisy field trip ran late, and she was pooped by the time our book was signed. BUT I got a picture so it was all worth it!

How cool is THAT??? Very nice!

(PS> our local MOPS has a classroom set aside for homeschoolers...but it hasn't always been that way. When my boys were homeschooled but I still had preschool girls, I made arrangements once a month with a retired man in our church to take them on an outing for a couple hours. His wife was a Moppett worker, so he was familiar with the ministry of MOPS and with my unique needs. Ultimately there were other homeschoolers joining, and I had enough for my own classroom of kids:) MOPS provided one worker to oversee my kids' seatwork & snack. These days my older boys help in the toddler rooms and there is still a homeschool room for four and older. I was a charter member of the steering team (100 years ago) and served on the team for 5 years...just to give you perspective on how my personal needs may have been more readily addressed than in different circumstances. Hope you can find a creative way to be a part of MOPS...it is such a great outlet!

Next time you see PW, tell her I said hey!
