I did a few Target deals today. Actually I ended up going to 3 different Targets today, now that I think about it. I went first thing this morning (well 10 o'clock - if you consider that first thing!) with 2 kids in tow, a trip during nap time with no kids and then another run tonight before bedtime. I ended up with 20 boxes of fruit crisp, 12 Gilette Body Washes and 10 boxes of Claritin.
S has to take Claritin every day to help with his allergies. We have to pay out of pocket and it costs about $51 a month. I noticed this morning that the 10mg pill was on sale for a 10 count for $8. S takes 2 5 mg pills right now. I called the dr and they agreed 1 10mg should work. There was a $4 coupon in the paper last week so it's only $4 for a box that will last 1/3 of the month, meaning only $12 a month vs. $51 a month I was paying. I was able to get 10 boxes from 3 different Targets. Better yet is I was able to use some of the gift cards from the lotion deal last week and the fruit crisp deal this week so it was only $15 out of pocket for all 9 Claritins and the fruit crisps!!!!! I literally cried when I got back in the van, with relief because I was worried about having to pay for S's medicine next month. I was going to shut off the cable to help pay for his medicine and now it's not necessary. We have 3 months supply and enough rainchecks and coupons for another 3 months - woohoo!!

Shopping, Art, Couponing, Otherwise known as Life
Last night was a rough night with J. He isn't sleeping well these days. He truly wants to nurse all night and that is not okay with my sleep schedule as it means I ain't getting any sleep. He was cute though when he got up about 11. He was so delirious with needing sleep. He was stumbling around and so giggly. He would lay his head on the floor then pop up just laughing. Daddy Piper and I had a blast watching him be so silly. L was up by 6 but not allowed any computer time this morning since her behavior yesterday was unacceptable. Taking away the computer is the only thing that really bothers her right now. S had his morning computer time then went outside to play. He and his dad were butting heads almost immediately so I was planning on taking him with me to Target for some one on one time. L got upset so she came with. Yes I am a sucker for my kids' crying jags. We took their shopping carts and off we went - while J stayed home with Daddy Piper and napped. It was fun!! They both enjoyed the shopping trip way more that way. It does take twice as long when they have their own carts but the fun they have is so worth it!! Oh and the coupon shopping at Target totally rocked too. Spent $22 and saved $56 and that included getting ink for our printer - WOOHOO!!
This afternoon was art class. The kids enjoy their homeschool art class program. Today they painted these wood/cardboard house things. J ran around the lobby like a mad man. He sure had fun though, drinking water and strumming the display guitars.
And tonight was another bedtime prayer success. We remembered to do it and the kids remembered the words : -)

New Bike
S has needed a new bike for a month or two now. He completely outgrew his hand me down bike from L. We were talking about getting him one for Christmas. We have been taking nightly bike rides and Daddy Piper didn't think he could wait that long though. I was able to get 6 bags of free dog food from Target using coupons. We don't have a dog currently. So here's where things get great. Our neighbor does garage sales for a living. He had a Harley-Davidson bike just S's size in great condition. S LOVES anything red and Harley-Davidson. They have a dog..... so we traded those 6 bags of dog food for a Harley bike and 2 dozen canning jars, which I used to can 32 pounds of peaches the other night. So we got all that stuff for free since the dog food was completely free!!!!
