I-Pie

L got a MP3 player for her birthday (which is now listed among her most prized possessions) and I have an iPod that we listen to in the van every single day (the iPod is one of my most prized possessions too!). S calls these "I-Pie's" instead of iPods. No matter how many times his Daddy corrects him, it's still an "I-Pie". I don't correct him, not once, because I love hearing him call it an "I-Pie". It is one little thing that still sounds like a baby instead of the toddler/preschooler he is :-)

p.s. and it really is almost 1 in the morning. It's been another musical bed night and I currently don't have a bed unless I want the top bunk, which I don't but thanks for asking : -)

No Sleep

S and Baby J were up all night last night for the 2nd night in a row. Let's make this extremely clear - my 2 1/2 year old was up more than my newborn - ARGH!! I think he's just looking for reassurance that I'll still run right in and get him, so I did and with a happy mommy voice even :- )

Hopefully we'll all get a nap today - this has somehow alluded me the last few days.

SOOO Tired

I am so tired these days. Both of my kids are back to sleeping like newborns - up every few hours. Is it preparation for the new baby's arrival in 5 months or just a phase? Either way - it stinks! Besides the all nighters, Daddy Piper is up and at 'em by 3:45 AM everyday so that means Mama Piper is in the kitchen making his lunch. I am ready for some sleep!!

Thank you God for letting me stay home with my babies and rest when they rest. Truly grateful this is my only job.
