Typical Tuesday

Today was my first time to venture out with all 3. Another success! It seems once we went from 1 to 2 kids, this transition from 2 to 3 isn't that big of a deal. L had dance today so while she was dancing her heart out (something she totally enjoys now with this new studio) the boys and I went to a local grocery store for eggs, a coffee and chocolate milk and the best temporary tattoos we have ever found. Those tattoos last like 2 weeks - it's great!! My kids get so sad when the tattoos fade away after a couple of hours. The rest of the day was nice. We did school this afternoon and S even participated with some preschool things. He actually sat still and did 2 pages!!!

Daddy Piper was late getting home tonight so I took the kids for a walk to burn some of the "when is daddy coming home?" energy. I feel so BAD when he's late coming home. He was gone for about 13 hours and that cuts into his playtime with the kids. He only saw them for about 1 1/2 hours before it was their bedtime. I feel so horrible knowing he works so hard for us and doesn't get to enjoy them like I do. I wonder if other SAHM's feel this way?

Tomorrow we are off to IKEA to get a bed before my MIL flies in this weekend. The kids are excited about the play area at IKEA. L has been in there one time, about a year ago and S has never been in there. They also have a breakfast deal going on. Should be a fun day. I am very much looking forward to my MIL's visit! She was coming in to help with the older 2 while I was in the hospital having Baby J but since he is already here and I am now feeling much better, I hope we get to do some fun stuff with her.

Off to bed while all THREE kids are sleeping.

Thank you God for my children, my wonderful husband and the many blessings you have bestowed on our family. Please guide me and watch over us as we raise these babies. Amen.

Ramblings...

I have a ton of thoughts I need to get out so I can remember them another time. Oh but where to start??

• Had a great MNO on Wednesday with some girlfriends at a sushi restaurant. I have grown to CRAVE sushi during this pregnancy. Of course, just the kind with cooked stuff inside - no raw stuff for this mama.
• The dogs got themselves all tangled and twisted up around the tree I want hacked off in the front yard (I hate that thing). Poor Kazoo was tangled in Jay-Jay's chain and they were both wrapped so tightly around the tree. They couldn't reach their water and in this heat - poor guys. I figured this out when we got home from Home Depot and they hadn't moved an inch in the hour we had been gone.
• I sold my Canon camera and have ordered the Nikon D40. Hopefully this will satisfy me and I will quit selling and getting a new camera every 3 months.
• S is still doing pretty well potty training. He has had a bit more accidents than I am happy with but really - much less stressful than potty training L.
• L is doing great with swimming lessons. She is really enjoying them. Not quite up to swimming yet but going underwater and retrieving things from the bottom of the pool - AWESOME!!!
• It's less than 12 weeks until I have #3. Uh - what was I thinking?!? I am getting kinda nervous. I know I was nervous with S so it's about the same amount anxiety. We made a countdown chain the other day. That truly freaked me out, thinking about 84 days until the big event. L is so excited about it. S doesn't understand quite yet but he will when Baby Piper makes his/her appearance.
• This baby is super active now. And I am getting huge. And it's hot. HOT, HOT, HOT. I feel like an inferno inside and out these days. But I wouldn't give up being pregnant for anything. I love feeling the baby kick, seeing my big belly and knowing that I will be blessed with another Baby Piper soon makes it all worthwhile.
• Daddy Piper is getting ready to take a solo vacation. I am going to be home alone with these munchkins for a couple days. 1st time ever. Makes me thankful for good neighbors, in the event something should happen.
• Today's Friday which means a bath for the kids in Mama and Daddy's bath. They get a shower every day in their bathroom but Friday's they get a bath in our big tub. They both look forward to this every week :-)

I know there is more I wanted to write down but I am getting the "need to play with Mama" signal from Thing 1 and Thing 2 so off for now!

Nothing New

I haven't much new to write about here. I had a bad experience this morning but things seem to be looking up. Like one wise person said to me today "Hey - we read this book before and it came out okay!". Kids are great. Still loving the new puppy. Daddy Piper has work tomorrow and we have plans to go to the zoo with a friend of ours. We painted more trim this week (about 1/2 way done!).

Hopefully something new and insightful will come to me for a great post tomorrow!

p.s. One thing to be grateful for - S is eating much better. Maybe his clothes will start fitting again soon!!!
